Aran Fawddwy, the highest peak in Snowdonia south of Snowdon itself. Visited by few, this mountain has views over Snowdonia and the Arans that are unrivalled by many of the more popular peaks. I visited this peak in 2017, we were very lucky with the weather, having come prepared for a wet day we were delighted to find the sun shining and the skies blue. This memory is one I revisit often when I feel the need to ground myself and realise that despite ongoing events in the world, the outlook is not nearly as bleak as it can seem.
